favourite poem

Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight

To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows goTo the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

e-learning

today im having elearning. we are learning through the computer and the internet. it meant that i did not have to go to school at 6 am in the morning and i could to seat in my comfortable chair.i would also not forget to bring anything to school anymore, but the teachers can still check and ensure that you are doing your work at all times so it is not that bad. therefore, i think e-learning is better than than going to school as per normal. i do know that e-learning is just temporary in case anything like sars or h1n1 breaks out again. but there are also disadvantages, such as tests, as pupils can cheat while taking an online test. but in future, i think that the world will be using e-learning as normal learning and have web cams to ensure that we are doing the work properly.

english 'test'

on thursday i had an english 'test'. it was a pre e-learning to prepare us for the real thing. we were suppose to answer questions and see what we were good at, such as linguistic, bodily kinetic, interpersonal and so on. after a series of hard questions, my caculation that i was most bodily kinetic with a score of 18/20. second was logical mathematic with a score of 16/20 and the rest were in close third and fourth. i had expected the results as much except that music would be tied in third with linguistic. it was very fun as all the sutdents from 1i2 compared their results. it was a lively english lesson and i cant wait for e- learning. that is all i have on this topic.

my cca

my cca in hwa chong is tennis. i have been playing tennis for a few years and was hoping to get into the tennis team in hwa chong. my dream came true. i even get to play for the school even though i am secondary one. well the secondary one's are better than the secondary twos which is kind of weird in a goood way. although training is pretty tough, i enjoy it as playing tennis makes me happy. we have to run 20 laps around the whole tennis court as warm up! the worse is that we have a 'crippled' trolley to carry our tennis balls as our seniors call it as one of the wheels is broken and a stick in place, which makes it difficult for us to move it. our first tennis match is on 29 of feb on monday, and i am hoping to show the coach my true colours, so wish me good luck!
